Switzerland: Up Titlis. Snow or Ice?
24th June 2000 Saturday

The above is a day pass ticket in Zurich we bought the night before

On the right shows part of the electrical tram map. It has markings to show the way to our hostel.

Setting off

This morning, I had two rounds of breakfast. Erm anyway, there's a train to catch today. We are going to luzern on the 10.01am train. I think we would probably reach luzern around 10.40am?

We had changed to another rail to engelberg.
Luzern and engelberg are really cold and windy places.

And on our way to engelberg, the rain started to fall on over long and winding routes.

Engelberg itself is a total quite place.
Not many people present in the place.

We found our lunch at "coop restaurant".
A restaurant chain that is found also in interlaken.
The day was cloudy and rain from the moment we set foot here. We braved the cold that seeped into our hands and feet.

We took the cable car "gondala" I think.
That lead us slowly p the mountain (58.4fr with europass). The tempature is around 16 at engel bergand 4 somewher in stands
and -2 at the top of the mt titlis.

*Cold! Cold! Cold!*

Cloud encircling the mountain. Do You notice that there's two person walking in the background? Going up Titlis With Eurail pass
58.4sf

Up there

The cloud, fog and rain had killed our joy of enjoying its majestic sight.
Well, at least we touched snow.

Let me try to recall. It probably reads
"Mount Titis -10 000 feet-whatever."
No Ice Flyer? We sat down on the floor feeling disappointed. Bad weather!
It's not cold. It's not cold. and It's not cold...... It's freezing.
Alright, the six of us will take a picture. The last picture of this fella before I gave it a kick in the face. >:E

we took a few photo and we headed back to lucern to have our dinner.

Oh right....visit supermarket too. This is the one time in life when I realised I have to visit a supermarket everyday. Soon, I'll be ready to be a house-husband. =P

I was feeling quite disappointed as I missed the chance to see the lion monument in lucern. Probably there'll be another chance In the next few days?

Maybe I will not travel by eurostar the next time. Quite expensive, I have time!

Should I learn to speak French?
Hmm. Japanese perhaps.
